1980 Vancouver 27
The Vancouver 27 was the brainchild of Canadian naval architect Robert Harris, expressly designed to carry two people and all their belongings and provisions across oceans. At first glance they immediately exude a power and confidence that belies, by modern standards, their modest size and they have subsequently proved to be superb bluewater cruisers, capable of coping with the very worst conditions with every confidence. They are easily handled under sail and with their moderate draft also make excellent coastal cruisers. This really nice example has been carefully and thoroughly prepared by a knowledgeable owner for the Big Trip, but sadly circumstances have overtaken his plans to sail away to the big blue yonder. She therefore represents an excellent opportunity for someone with far horizons on their mind to get going with little more than antifouling to be done before setting off.
