Overview The FB35 “Young Guns” is now for sale.
Built to a Fred Barrett design at Van Munster Boats in NSW, “Young Guns” started exceeding expectations from the very outset.
Built to a very high, Carbon/Nomex spec and a no-expense-spared attitude towards her specification, the end result has been nothing short of epic!
The attention to detail is like nothing you will have seen before on a 35 footer and with her consistently beating boats bigger in size and budget, there is not much this little pocket rocket cant do!

The Design Approach:
The FB35 incorporates the benefits of a Grand Prix build approach, light displacement, high ballast ratio, high righting moment, forgiving appendage area and a modern sail and rig platform. The design aims at promoting the concept of fast sailing, without the need to adapt to variable ballast.
The FB35 is designed to be a fast club racing yacht, race week friendly, and a coastal passage rocket..

To achieve a high strength but light displacement the FB35 shells and components are fabricated from pre-preg carbon uni laminates either side of a Nomex core. The pre preg approach is the most advanced technology available to build high- strength light weight structures from and something which Van Munster Boats is good at doing.
The savings in weight and the overall structural rigidity are worth any additional cost.

“Young Guns” can comfortable sleep 6 on the dock and any three on the high side whilst racing. There is also ample room to add another aft pipecot, to offer 8 berths in total.
Due to the large cockpit the cabin top is quite forward in the boat, but with her decent free-board and coach roof, interior volume is good.
2 x pipe cots on either side and a saloon bunk ensure comfortable sleeping.
A small carbon sink is located forward of the mast and off to port, whilst the WC is also to port and in front of the mast bulkhead, offering some privacy.

The finish below decks have been very well thought out and really the quality is very high.
