Seller Note

Overview Originally born with the cruiser/racer concept in mind, this design proved so successful under IRC that Grand Soleil developed the Race package for the GS45. With deeper fin keel, Carbon spars from Hall and sticking the boat on a diet all meant that this boat became the ‘one to beat’ under IRC and ORC racing. BORO IX has been professionally maintained and is in superb condition ready for its next competitive racing enthuiast.

Rolf Vrolijk has created a yacht that is fast, elegant and seaworthy.
A new construction process based on an innovative, high-strength frame in hot dip galvanized steel that confers rigidity to the hull and uniformly distributes the loads of the bulb keel, mast and chain plates.
The result is a safe yacht with superb handling qualities, able to deal with virtually any sea conditions without qualms, and subject to very few limits.
Made from unidirectional glass fibre with vinylester resin and combined with the galvanised steel keel frame and mast stringer, the structure is built for longevity.
The GS race version is fitted with a deeper, racing fin keel, drawing 2.8m as well as upgraded spars and deck hardware offering the complete package.
