KER ORC/IRC 60
Overview PHEONIX is now available
This head turner, originally a JV design was fully optimised for IRC and ORC racing in 2012 by Jason Ker and so she hails from great pedigree.
With an impressive race record against much newer designs over recent years clearly shoes she has a lot left to give.
Full carbon racer at 60ft LOA……. very hard to ignore at this asking price.
Pheonix was built in 2004 by MODEL TECNICAS Y REGATAS in Argentina and was designed by Judel Vrojlik.
When she was originally conceived she was built to compete at the top of the IMS game.
As this fleet died out in the late 2000’s she was then purchased by the current owner who felt she could be competitive under other rating systems such as IRC and ORC and so enlisted the help of Jason Ker in 2012 to re-optimise the boat.
This led to an extension in overall length with a wider transom and short bow extension, along with a completely new foil package.
Since the modification her improvements in performance have been HUGE and she is now well in touch with the most modern of TP52 designs on handicap racing.
