Sunseeker Boats For Sale UK
Sunseeker International, the British luxury motor yacht manufacture, was founded in Poole, Dorset, in 1969. Robert Braithwaite was working at Poole Powerboats when American boat builder Owen Cruisers Inc., one of the brands of craft that the company sold, decided to close the UK part of their business down. Braithwaite seized the moment and bought Owen Cruiser’s boat moulds, despite the fact that Poole Powerboats had only previously sold, not built them.
Around half a century later, their vessels are still mainly manufactured in Poole.

Sunseeker’s first seagoing craft was the Sovereign 17 in 1971, followed by the Sovereign 20. The company then moved into sports cruisers, debuting the Sports 23 and the Daycab 23. Towards the end of the 1970s, Sunseeker brought Don Shead, a leading boat designer, on board and together they designed a new style of cruiser, the Offshore 28.
The team endeavoured to provide boats that would deliver what their customers were looking for and put emphasis on style, enjoyment and performance. Boats that followed this ethos include the Tomahawk 37, the Renegade 60 and the Predator 80.
In September 2015, they took delivery of their 100th luxury performance motor yacht in the 100ft+ superyacht category.
